In my base building I’ve been getting back to basics and just running with no gear. I think it’s important to leave the junk behind and focus on just enjoying being healthy and fit. I’m going by feel, I can pretty much stay within the target zone by just following my breath. I’m still logging miles, so that’s one metric I’m holding onto. The spring is slowly turning into summer, with the heat rising and allergens all around. I don’t usually have much issues with pollen, but I do get slight bouts of “stuffy head” in the springtime.

I’ll be back to quantifying things again soon, but for now it’s nice to just let go and let the body do its thing.
